Due to a generous grant provided by the Jason Lee PTA, Mrs. Peterson’s English classes had an amazing opportunity to attend a performance of Ella Enchanted presented by the Oregon Children’s Theater. Prior to the field trip, Mrs. Peterson’s students read the book by Gail Carson Levine on which the play was based. Watching a book come to life on the stage was an experience students will not soon forget. As an added bonus, on our way back to the bus, students recognized the actress who plays Ella walking down the sidewalk. She stopped and chatted with students and even posed for photographs. Thank you to our wonderful PTA for making this experience possible!
