This month Jason Lee is continuing its annual One Book, One School tradition in which every student and adult in our school community receives a copy of the same book.  Throughout the month, we will read the book together and participate in discussions and activities related to the story.  Our One Book, One School goals are to build community through a common experience, foster a love of reading, and explore themes with the potential to make Jason Lee’s culture even more positive.

This year, we are reading Posted by John David Anderson.  It is a powerful book with themes around changing friendships, the power of words, the danger of labels, and our responsibility to others.  One day each week, teachers will be reading aloud to students in each of their classes.  Between read-aloud days, students will read some of the book on their own.  Families are encouraged to discuss the book with their students, or even join the fun and read along with us!
