Free meals this summer

Thanks to Share, students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals can eat at no cost on the following days:

June 26 through Aug. 11

  • Brickyard Park, 3120 Lincoln Ave., weekdays from noon to 1 p.m.
  • Gardenview Estates, 3114 NE 57th Ave., Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 12:30 p.m.

June 27 through Aug. 11

  • Springfield Meadows, 4317 NE 66th Ave., Tuesdays through Fridays from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.

July 3 through Aug. 11

  • Evergreen Park, 3500 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., weekdays from noon to 1 p.m.
  • Hough Elementary, 1900 Daniels St., weekdays from noon to 12:30 p.m.

July 17 through Aug. 4

  • Harney Elementary, 3212 E. Evergreen Blvd., weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Anderson Elementary, 2215 NE 104th St., weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m.

Aug. 7 through 11

  • King Elementary, 4801 Idaho St., weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Fresh food pantry

The VPS mobile Family-Community Resource Center will offer a fresh food pantry throughout the summer.

June 28

  • Heights O.K. 2 Clubhouse, 500 Council Bluffs Way, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

July 5

  • Clinton and Gloria John Teen Club, 409 NE Anderson Rd., from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

July 12

  • Heights O.K. 2 Clubhouse, 500 Council Bluffs Way, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

July 26

  • Clinton and Gloria John Teen Club, 409 NE Anderson Rd., from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

August 2

  • Heights O.K. 2 Clubhouse, 500 Council Bluffs Way, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

August 9

Children and youth enrolled in the summer program at one of the following Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington also are provided a free lunch and snack.
